I've seen a few of the Anasazi ruins before, but there is no question that the ones at Mesa Verde are the best.












They were doing a lot of road construction between the park and the Hwy. Naturally, it was raining while we were sitting there.










It is a pretty steep climb from the valley floor up to the park. It made for some spectacular views.













They built some pretty good sized communities under these rock ledges. I think I would always be worried of them falling on me while I was sleeping. Of course it would probably hurt me just as much if I was awake.






And the rain came and darkness was upon the face of the earth for..............
